We have been in the sewing machine sales and service business since about 1965. I was the youngest manager for the Singer Company in the late 1960's and worked and lived on Long Island, you know, near New York City. I managed Singer Company shops in Fresh Meadows, Queens and later Commack, Long Island when I then, with a partner became an Independent Dealership. In 1972 we took our family, dog, cat and business back to my hometown of Mechanicville, NY where we still operate our own store. We have loads of new, old and discontinued SINGER parts and I still service machines, some coming in by UPS, for our Minor Overhaul and Adjustments for $ 79.95. I no longer do Factory Machines or Sergers or the like, just no time and no trainees.

Singer Treadle Model 66 Sewing Machine
This foot powered Singer treadle Sewing Machine is from around 1900 and is a Model 66. The plain oak cabinet allows machine to fold into a bed in order to close the top. These are still in use in parts of the world without electricity and also came as a portable with a hand crank. Some of the early models had intricate scroll stenciling on the black painted head with more on the bed of machine. The one pictured is about standard and in average condition. This one also needs cabinet refinishing to bring out the beauty of the oak veneer which most were made from. Many cabinets tend to have their veneers lifting or damaged, this one is solid and complete. The belts were made from round 1/4" leather and ends were held together with a metal "C" clip. I no longer have these belts. Factory belting was heavier and could also be used if it fit under the bobbin winder near the hand wheel. Believe it, I still repair and service these type machines and have original parts for most in stock. I use this one for display purpose of my service.

White Sewing Machine in Walnut Finish Cabinet
This is a standard style White Zig- Zag Sewing Machine from the 1970's in a plain universal cabinet style. It has a front vertical bobbin case, is made of heavy iron and aluminum and has the standard built-in zig-zag stitches. Made in Japan and will probably outlast all of us if serviced regularly. The cabinet is simple but in fine condition. We have serviced the machine and sewed it off for a proper stitch as we do all of our machines. We have this whole unit with the cabinet priced at SOLD.
