HS- 1692 ... Smith & Wesson Model 17 .22 caliber, K-22 Masterpiece Revolver with pinned barrel of 8 3/8" length, designated as a 17-4. The gun is new in box with accessories and paperwork, 100% new condition but there is a line from turning the cylinder. The pinned barrel models were discontinued in 1982. The box is the blue type with metal corners and is numbered to the gun, there is a break in both sections where the hammer has opened up a cut. The gun has adjustable rear sight, target trigger, target hammer and larger combat style stocks. The customer registration card is still unused. This is just one of the guns that has been laying in my inventory for years buried under other items on my third floor. I will be getting some of these fine guns out and putting them up on our site in the coming weeks. FFL required. This one is priced at

Smith & Wesson Pre- Model 14 K-38 Target Masterpiece
Smith & Wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty .38 Special Pre-Model 20
HS-23xx ... Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 20 is this Heavy Duty .38 Special High Velocity Round Revolver designated as .38/44 because of the "N" .44 Magnum frame in .38 Special cartridge. This has a 4" barrel with shroud and heavy target stocks, a five screw gun. The serial number of S- 1425xx dates the piece about 1950. It is in excellent condition with slight bluing wear about the muzzle and trigger guard, otherwise about 95% original blue remains. The back-strap has been cross checked and a set screw added to rear of trigger guard. The target stocks have most of the original varnish and have sharp checkering, S&W inserts with diamond pattern, but have been nicely opened in the bottom front to allow for adjustment of hammer spring screw. The hammer and trigger have been polished and jeweled, a red insert installed in front blade sight. The action has been honed for smoothness. This is a finely tuned, well conditioned revolver that was the mainstay of the mid-twentieth century highly regarded Policeman. See thumbnails for condition. We have this fine gun priced at

Smith & Wesson Double Action First Model in .44 Russian Caliber
An early Smith & Wesson First Model Double Action Revolver in .44 Russian caliber. Made c1883 it is serial number 10909, has a heavy frame and 6" barrel which retain about 80% of bright nickel finish with a fine set of expensive period pearl stocks. Both grips have the serial number scratched into their insides. The nickeled 1 7/16" cylinder is also marked with serial number 10909 as is the blued top latch. Overall this is a fine, tight and fully functional firearm classed as an Antique. The bore is fine and the front sight is the standard half moon pinned to the ribbed barrel. Rear sight is standard, barrel address is standard two line with last Patent Date of 1880. The original nickel finish does have corrosion beginning and the right side of frame and barrel has some missing finish, though bright. The trigger guard is a bright blue with 99% remaining. The trigger and hammer are case colored with most remaining and bright. The screws are excellent except the top latch screw shows marring. The pearl grips are excellent with good top fit but slightly undersize on frame. View the thumbnails for condition. The inside of open frame is near new looking and I doubt if this gun saw much use. Poor storage may have led more to the finish wear. It is in overall excellent original condition with desirable pearl stocks.
Smith & Wesson Double Action First Mod. Copy in .44-40 Win. Caliber
An early Belgium Copy of a Smith & Wesson Frontier style First Model Double Action Revolver in .44-40 Winchester cartridge. It is so marked on the top of barrel flat and, besides proof marks, there are no other markings but 37 for serial number on cylinder and reverse of left grip. The barrel measures six inches and has a very good shootable bore. This is a top-break, auto-eject, double action six shot revolver based on the S&W Patent Style. The action functions fine, strong hammer spring and lock-up is tight, single action also works well. There is some pitting on barrel sides but remainder of gun has simply turned a brown patina. The left hard rubber grip is crazing and the right grip has a re-glued top portion. The lanyard ring is missing. This would make an interesting addition to the Smith & Wesson collection to show the period patent infringements of the day, c1870's. Or as a Cowboy Action piece, regrettably, not knowing its overall functioning, reliability or accuracy it may only become a conversational focal point around the campfire. In any case, it is a piece of history that you can now own for our reasonable price of

This was made around 1957-58 with a pinned barrel, adjustable target sights and now with custom walnut target stocks. This early gun was to become the K-38 Special Masterpiece Target gun which was then discontinued in 1983. It is in like new condition with fine smooth double action and excellent bore. I actually bought this from a little old lady who used to shoot with her husband back in the 1960's, only on Sundays of course and it was one of her guns.
